A Sunny Day in Glasgow began as a bedroom project of Ben Daniels and his sisters Robin & Lauren. They released their first EP The Sunniest Day Ever in March 2006 which provided them early acclaim and paved the way for their debut full length Scribble Mural Comic Journal on Notenuf Records. In 2007, the Daniels siblings assembled a backing band of disparate musicians from various countries/states to tour in support of the critically acclaimed SMCJ. The band will be playing select dates in 2008, but will be primarily focusing on recording their follow-up to SMCJ.

To coincide with the UK release of his latest solo album, The Luxury of Hysteria, Australian rock \'n\' roll icon Tim Rogers is set to return to London for the first time since You Am I\'s sold out Islington Academy show of October 2006.

Tim is a regular visitor to these shores, and has played countless sold out shows in venues across London town. Since the release of You Am I\'s seventh studio album, Convicts, Tim has toured the USA several times with the band, and played many sold out, rapturously-received shows across Australia, to keep his homeland fans happy.

Last August, Tim entered the studio to commence work on The Luxury of Hysteria, arguably his finest solo work to date. Recorded with his other band, The Temperance Union, and a host of classically-trained musicians, The Luxury of Hysteria sees a wide variety of strings and brass instruments accompanying some of the boy Rogers\' finest lyrics thus far. Opening with the melodic A Quiet Night In, the album follows Tim through a range of moods, finishing epically with the masterful James The Second.

The album was released in Australia last October, to much public and critical acclaim, and the accompanying tour launch included two sold out shows at the iconic Sydney Opera House, both of which garnered the boy from Kalgoorlie standing ovations. Never one to rest on his laurels, Tim and You Am I commenced preproduction on a new album during April, with recording slated to begin in June, and proposed release in late 2008 or the new year.

Expect to hear old You Am I and Temperance Union favourites plus newly-minted classics from The Luxury of Hysteria at Tim\'s Luminaire show plus possibly a sneak preview of his next record!

Holly Throsby recorded her first two albums (2004s On Night and 2006s ARIA nominated Under the Town) in a farmhouse on a mountain on the Australian south coast, and has just released her third, A Loud Call, on Spunk Records. Both were critically acclaimed, locally and abroad. She has toured Australia many times and has played on various tours in the UK, Europe, America & Canada. She has toured on her own, with her band, and in support of artists such as Bonnie \'Prince\' Billy, Joanna Newsom, Bill Callahan, David Pajo, The Eels, Micah P. Hinson, Mark Kozelek, M. Ward, Devendra Banhart and Low. More recently Holly has appeared on In Field & Town, the new album by Hayden, and has joined Andrew Bird, New Buffalo and Oscar-winning songwriter Glen Hansard (The Frames) for live duets at various shows in Australia. She also wrote and illustrated two limited-edition comic books, which she now sells at shows.

The Sonic Reducer Tag Team hosted their own, incredibly popular and massively rockin\' night in London for four years, which attracted such guest DJs as Michael Davis (MC5), Chris Bailey (The Saints), Tim Rogers (You Am I) and Ben Ayres (Cornershop). The Sonic Reducer Tag Team also served as The Detroit Cobras\' tour DJs, and enlivened gigs by the likes of Big Star, DKT-MC5, Arthur Lee & Love, Radio Birdman, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, The Vines, Andre Williams, You Am I, and Panther Burns. Sonic Reducer even attracted Ray Davies as a paying customer TWICE and had the pleasure of watching The Kinks\' linchpin jig around to Lazy Lester 45s, proudly claiming \"I covered this!\" Expect an all-killer, no filler heap of serious punk, funk, R&B, soul, folk and other mutant junk when The Sonic Reducer Tag Team take to the decks!

Alasdair Roberts is a Glasgow-based singer and guitarist raised in Callander, Central Scotland. His first releases consisted of home-made four-track recordings of his songs under the name Appendix Out. Over time Alasdair gradually became more immersed in the traditional song and balladry of the British Isles, resulting in the first release under his own name, the solo guitar-and-voice album of traditional songs The Crook of My Arm (Secretly Canadian, 2001). In 2001 Alasdair also found the time to collaborate with Jason Molina and Will Oldham; the result was the Amalgamated Sons of Rest EP (Galaxia), a brief collection of songs written by the three individuals, covers, traditional songs and one co-written track.

Alasdair has since released three further solo records including Farewell Sorrow (Drag City, 2003); No Earthly Man (Drag City, 2005), a collection of traditional British ballads of a tragic nature, this time accompanied by a large cast of players including Isobel Campbell, Alex Neilson and brothers Paul and Will Oldham amongst others; and his most recent album entitled The Amber Gatherers (Drag City, 2007).

Stephanie Hladowski recorded the four ballads on The High High Nest while a member of the Glaswegian ecstatic jazz and folk collective Scatter. Listening to her lean, vulnerable voice, alone or with sparse instrumental accompaniment of drones and shimmers, is a directly affecting experience the communicative power of the human voice remains a current truth - delicate power in Hladowski s case, but nonetheless real. Gaining a reputation as the musicians musician, his live shows deliver an unmistakable and all-encompassing rock \'n\' roll experience! Originally signed spotted by John Reis aka Speedo of Rocket From The Crypt/Hot Snakes, John took him under his wing and signed him to his own Swami Records.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama (some say in a explosion of smoke and fire) in 1983. Dan landed on our radar in 2005 with his debut album Dan Sartain Vs. The Serpientes. Of his 2006 follow-up Join Dan Sartain, NME magazine proclaimed; Sartain possesses a PHD in the DNA of rocknrollhis songs fly me to the moon. Those who know his work (and play!) wait with anticipation for his third studio album, due for release on One Little Indian Records later this year.

Dan is joined by Gemma Ray who makes her very welcome NTSOBC debut. Gemma is Londons fast rising new star who has just released a brilliant new record, The Leader\", to rave reviews. Recorded and co-produced with Michael J Sheehy the road leading up to this album was an unusually dark and twisted one, with Gemma in and out of the hospital battling a mystery illness for nearly two years. In the course of her Tramadol-induced bliss, enforced solitude and hallucinations, she composed over fifty songs. Dubbed The Sick Sessions, no stone was left unturned during this troubled but prolific interlude of feverish composition.

With noir-ish hints of Lee Hazlewoods unearthly country-rock, Ray sits midway between Nina Simone and Isobel Campbell, and is the better for it. - Mojo

Failsafe are a Melodic/Alternative Rock band based in Preston, UK. Having played over 300 shows along side bands such as Paramore, Boy Sets Fire, Gallows, A Wilhelm Scream, Cute Is What We Aim For, The Bouncing Souls, Flogging Molly, Armour For Sleep, Anti-Flag, Idlewild they are due to release their next album in November.

Without Thought are a rock/punk 5 piece from Guildford. Having played with Enter Shikari, The Hurt Process, Violent Delight, Skindredd etc etc they will be releasing their debut album in October. With champions such as Bruce Dickinson and Matt Pinfield they will be at the top of everyone\'s wish list.
