Let's say Grant Lee Buffalo tied a few on one night and wound up sleeping with Oasis. If a baby were conceived, and Neil Young was the Uncle, it would sound like New York City's rock quartet  Chief.
 
In their confident, purposeful approach to catchy song writing, Chief combines ethereal folk melodies and fuzzy reflective riffs which produces a sound that's refreshing and time tested. There are no risky gimmicks, just solid rock music which they pull off with integrity. The four band members - Evan Koga, Danny Fujikawa, Michael Fujikawa and Michael Moonves - relocated to New York to attend NYU a few years ago from Los Angeles. College life took a swift backseat while the band honed their craft sharing stages with The Stills, The Pigeon Detectives, Glasvegas, The Whigs, among others. They are currently in the studio recording their forthcoming album to be released on Domino Records.
