Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Wildbirds & Peacedrums (Mariam Wallentin and Andreas Werliin) have forged an extraordinary form of spiritual pop, primal blues and ecstatic soul music. Their electrifying live shows have seen the duo perform all over the world during 2008, and their debut album, Heartcore, received rave reviews. The band were awarded the Jazz In Sweden 2008 prize, which led to the recording of their second album, The Snake, which is released in 2009.

"A weird and wild yet transfixingly beautiful debut" - ***** Time Out Critics' Choice*

"Cleverly orchestrated pop music" - 8.0 Pitchfork

Main support are the incredible Volcano! who have evolved from their cathartic noise beginnings to incorporate consistently catchier melodies into their arsenal of chaotic sounds. The latest development, 'So Many Lemons' builds on volcano!'s signature elements: Aaron With's frenetic, uplifting guitar melodies, Mark Cartwright's unique palate of electronic textures and heavy synth basslines, and Sam Scranton's deadly percussion.

"Even compared to the convulsive and ambitious pop of their better-established peers like Deerhoof, volcano! are set apart by their fearlessness" - 7.9 Pitchfork

"feverishly energetic and dazzlingly inventive pop...by turns playful, impassioned and intelligent" - **** Uncut

"such vaulting ambition should appeal to fans of US forebears Deerhoof" - **** Mojo

"(Paperwork) will have fans of Deerhoof, Dirty Projectors and even latter-day Radiohead whooping with glee" - ***** Time Out London

"After three minutes you'll think you've stumbled across a new musical dimension…Imagine if Franz and Muse had been tutored by a laptop-wielding Beefheart" - 8/10 NME

"You could use words like prog, complex, experimental, lush, polyrhythmic, post-rock, jarring, surprising, uplifting, catchy, confusing and mind-blowing, but even these words combined still don't quite articulate the magnificent wonky otherness of Paperwork...let the trio lead you down their strange and wonderful path" - KKKK Kerrang!
