Join Adelaide's Cape for an evening of contemporary nu-folk goodness in the beautiful setting of The Luminaire.

Adelaide's Cape is the music of Sam Taylor and Hannah Richardson. The two constant members of the band began making music together in 2006, and have worked with a vast collection of other musicians and instruments since Adelaide's Cape began. Originally from East Anglia, the band now split themselves between Bristol, London and Norwich, getting involved in the music scenes of all three cities.

Their eclectic and beautiful brand of nu-folk has earned them comparisons with the likes of Mumford & Sons and Johnny Flynn. They've recently been featured on BBC Introducing and secured support slots with Chris Wood and Stars Of Sunday League in the spring.

The band release their debut EP through Dustbowl Records in March, with copies of the CD being available for the first time at the launch party. Your launch party ticket entitles you to £1 off the release if bought on the night!

Main support Pete Roe is a well-established London folk musician who has recently finished tours with Laura Marling and Mumford & Sons. He has also played in Laura's live band, touring all corners of the world. Pete's imaginative and mesmerizing take on the singer-songwriter style is unique, inspiring and creative.

Laish Quartet is the given name for Daniel Green and company's musical outlet. Green has made himself useful amongst the Willkommen Collective (Brighton and London's alternative folk scene). He plays drums and sings with the progressive folk behemoth, Sons of Noel and Adrian, as well as occasionally lending his talents to Laura Marling, Alessi's Ark, The Leisure Society, The Climbers, Shoreline, OCDC, Curly Hair, Redwood Red, Rowan Coupland and Kopek.

Alex Sheppard has already played Latitude Festival, supported Dirty Pretty Things on the London circuit, and received huge praise from the likes of Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and NME. Alex joins Adelaide's Cape with her eclectic style of edgy, raw and lyrical acoustic songs.
