The Mystery Fax Machine Orchestra presents an evening of lush orchestral pop. Alongside a headline set of its own songs, the 25-piece orchestra will be joined by David Devant frontman Mikey Georgeson's alter ego Mr. Solo and dark seaside vaudeville duo Foster & Gilvan.

An eccentric alternative ensemble, the MFMO has grown from accordionist Martin White's initial backing band of string trio and drums into a full-blown orchestra, playing lavishly-arranged chamber-pop and large-scale comic songs.  Since its inception, the band has served as backing orchestra for the diverse likes of Jarvis Cocker, Luke Haines, Robyn Hitchcock, John Otway, Jim Bob and Al Murray the Pub Landlord.  They recently became the first act to unleash the Hammersmith Apollo's mighty pipe organ since its 2007 restoration.

Mr Solo is one of the many incarnations of singer-songwriter and visual artist Mikey Georgeson, frontman of art-pop legends David Devant & His Spirit Wife.  He performs melodic pop on acoustic guitar and ukulele, and as a special treat tonight's concert will include a special collaboration with the MFMO on opulent orchestral settings of such David Devant classics as Pimlico.

Foster & Gilvan are Foz Foster (guitarist in David Devant and The Monochrome Set) and Baron Gilvan.  They hail from Brighton where their unique brand of menacing theatrical vaudeville songs and setpieces are a familiar and much-loved fixture of the performance scene.
