MooV blur all the edges of contemporary music mixing in state-of-the art visual presentations and an essential amount of improvisation. Subdued lyricism and subtle, unpredictable melodies combined with electronic tintinnabulation and spare, yet complex instrumental soundscapes.

Performances are based around a wide breadth of material ranging from intimate songs and instrumental compositions to visual and installation work.

In 2005 MooV made their debut collaborating with the internationally renowned singer Claron McFadden and theatre director Toby Wilsher. At London’s Riverside Studios they presented two large-scale pieces, ‘on the sheltering bars’ and ‘science fictions’. Tonight they launch their debut album 'fold' featuring the special voice of Norwegian vocalist Elisabeth Nygård . The performance also includes live VJ images and video.

"MooV consists of an ensemble of genre-phobic artists who between them usually orbit the worlds of computer-based music, contemporary classical, jazz and film. The result often recalls the work of singer/songwriter David Sylvian and to a lesser extends Robert Wyatt.’’ (Jazzwise)

"There are many intelligent musicians whose work defies casual categorization. The composer Colin Riley is one such musician. His MooV ensemble thrives on the tension between fragmented, minimalist instrumental textures and the ecstatic, lyrical melodies that float across them, suggesting the voice of the impassioned individual surrounded by the indifferent chatter of 21st-century life." MooV’s members: Elisabeth Nygård (Vocals ), Colin Riley ( keyboards/composer ), Natalie Rozario ( Cello ), Zoe Martlew (Cello), Natalie Rozario (Cello), Pete Wilson (Guitar ), Rob Millett ( Percussion ), Ben Jarlett (Sound Manipulation), Joe Jarlett ( Visuals )
