"A heady and exotic brew, moving Bonobo ever closer to crossover success in the process." [Music Week]
"This is no stoner, chill out fodder. It's a stunningly created and beautifully played musical celebration of all things good about music." [iDJ]
"Bonobo – aka Simon Green – is a name to watch." [The Independent]
With his third album 'Days To Come' due for release in October, Simon Green aka Bonobo has finally made the transition from super producer to band leader. After two critically acclaimed albums (on Tru-Thoughts and Ninja Tune) that showcased his deft touch with a sampler and a mixing desk, Simon recruited the likes of label-mate Fink and German-based singer Bajka and has constructed an album that is a quantum leap from his downtempo chillout origins.
Already being hailed for their mesmerizing live performances, Bonobo and his band have been the highlight of several festivals over the last year and showcased this new direction with a live EP that cemented the bands' growing reputation.
With a major tour due later this year and the new album already sneaking into the playlists of the few forward thinking DJs on Radio 1, 'Days To Come' should mark the turning point as Bonobo goes from being a cult figure and DJ to the sort of producer who needs to screen his calls to stop being bothered by Madonna.
