Sat 21st Clash Magazine presents APARTMENT + Vatican DC + Larrikin Love DJ Set
Doors 7.30
It's getting chilly outside, I've even noticed the wispy clouds of breath that escape when you speak o and the sharp shock of frost up your nostrils when you inhale. That means we find ourselves in the thrall of autumn, with winter just around the corner, and looking for an excuse to keep warm. Not only will Clash Magazine offer you shelter from the elements for one whole night and we'll also treat you to a selection of music of ungodly brilliance. Apartment are harbingers of windswept epics whose climactic charges provoke emotional and erratic behaviour. When last we met, lead singer David Caggiari was kicking over chairs, scaling couches to sing and trashing the drum kit and the drummer in the process. And this was an acoustic gig for goodness sake. Vatican DC are from London via Israel, Ireland and Sweden. These disparate roots combine to form a fresh punk-infused bouqet that blossoms on stage in glorious technicolour. Larrikin Love, those fresh-faced fruity starlets will mark their third visit to Clash Club by dropping in to play some of their favourite records to a no doubt packed dancefloor. The eighth in the continuing Clash Club legacy follows blinding previous events that played host to Jeremy Warmsley, Action Plan, Radioclit, Low Sparks, Spektrum, The Fratellis, Pull Tiger Tail, 747s, Midlake, Deaf Stereo, The Sunshine Underground, Union Of Knives, Radar, The View, Larrikin Love, Captain Black, The Rank Deluxe, The Bishops and The Crimea.
Clash, the groundbreaking and award-winning bimonthly music and fashion magazine, is proud to continue its association at London’s Luminaire in Kilburn [and The Luminaire, the award-winning Live Music Venue is proud to continue its association with Clash, just for the record]. |
