The Flaming Stars will be celebrating the release of their new album on Ace Records, 'Born Under A Bad Neon Sign', with this exclusive UK show. Since 1995, they’ve recorded seven albums, fourteen singles, seven John Peel sessions and toured as far afield as Japan and the USA. Recorded in spring 2006, 'Born Under A Bad Neon Sign' follows hot on the heels of their career-to-date 2CD collection 'London After Midnight – Singles, Rarties & Bar Room Floor-Fillers'.
“Vastly underrated... Criminally good.” [Uncut]
“Yes, believers, you can play raucous garage blues, feel the devil-dogs of rockan-RAAHHWWLL nibbling at your parts and still have tunes... Top class.” [NME]

Spinning the discs will be DJ Scratchy. Legendary in-house DJ at Dingwalls back in the punk days, on-tour DJ for the Clash, then in recent years for Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros, and currently the DJ of choice for some of the finests acts around, including the Pogues. Scratchy plays a mix of '60s garage, '70s punk, original ska and soul, together with '50s rockabilly blues and R&B.
