In a relaxed gig setting Emma Pollock, Chris T-T, Brendan Cleary and Sore Throat bring you a night of music, words, lyrics and lines. Specially chosen for their passion for writing and differing styles, Phrased And Confused gives everyone the chance to explore and enjoy the family bucket combo of music and words.
Our hosts for the evening will be the artists themselves who will introduce you to a unique collection of intimate singer-songwriter sets, beat poetry, spoken word performances and of course themselves. Our artists are hard at work in anticipation of their Phrased & Confused jaunt, so they'll have loads of new stuff to share with you. Emma Pollock's excited to be setting off on her first solo tour after much success in The Delgados, Chris T-T is working on the final instalment to his trilogy of London themed albums, Sore Throat are producing a new book and album, and Brendan's poetic world of 'modern blues' was published recently.
Phrased & Confused takes you into a parallel universe where you can have some drinks, share some thoughts, moonwalk the line between poetry and song, pluck out of the air some words to keep for a rainy day and bring your favourite lyric, if it's allowed to stay out late. |
