LeamRocks is a celebration of the very splendid scene that is currently happening in and around Leamington Spa, and this night will showcase four of the hottest local bands: "The Red Kites are three slinky Brits burstin’ with Jangly Stones riffs and a high-steppin’ Primal Scream groove. This time around it’s perfectly okay to believe the hype!” [Sleezegrinder] Young Meteors are rock behemoths of Leviathan proportions. If Young Meteors were not a band, they would be a Viking longboat. Theirs is a simple plan: to LAY IT DOWN HARD. Meanwhile, signed to Norman Cook's Southern Fried label, Broken Dolls sound like "John Lydon rehearsing for the role of Fagin over a collage of Duran Duran synths and Funkadelic basslines.” [Drowned in Sound], while Akeal produce “edgy rock riffs, kick-ass beats and infectious melodies." |
