Sun 5th Another Pulse & The Luminaire present 'BON FIRE' with VIRGIN PASSAGES + Economy Wolf + Tenebrous + Very special Guests
Doors 7.30
Our headliners are the five-strong Economy Wolf (formerly Lions & Tigers), who take their members from The UK and France, and so far have two acclaimed vinyl-only releases to their name on Trial & Error Records and Fire Records. Virgin Passages - previously The Wardrobe - are main support; three kids who've been together now since 2004 teasing punters and fans alike. To simply call 'The Seagulls' beautiful is to understate it immensely. This fractured and frail and sleepily out of focus, slow-burning 10 minute epic is delicately brushed with softly trodden atmospherics, reminiscent of those encountered on the early Constellation / Fat Cat catalogues; sparsely executed slide guitars glaze romantically alongside a cascading array of torn acoustics and dreamily disorientating piano accents all temptingly caressed by the sapping boy / girl vocal interplay. It hints at the Tindersticks though battered and bruised vying with a particularly hurting Damon and Naomi. Classically laced to extract the maximum effect from the space allowed, ultimately it's all at once hauntingly ethereal, spectrally charged and sublimely seductive".
