Mon 17th Mean Fiddler presents THE POPES + Guests
Originally formed by Shane MacGowan in 1994 to record his album ‘The Snake’ after his split from the Pogues, The Popes are touted as the Irish Music Equivalent of Booker T and the MGs. With a mix of contemporary folk rockin' and head boppin' Dublin Rock, the Popes will be playing a selection of Classic tunes and songs from their forthcoming album. Now headed up by Paul (Mad Dog) McGuiness with a new line up including Will Morrison, Charle Hoskins and Gerry Driver, expect a cracking St Patrick’s day knees up! |
