The Luminaire presents
HAYES CARLL
James Walbourne
+ Treecreeper

Doors 7.30
£7 advance via WeGotTickets

Joshua Hayes Carll is a singer/songwriter from The Woodlands, Texas and has written songs with Ray Wylie Hubbard and Guy Clark, among others. Additionally, Carll has had success on the national Americana radio charts, receiving an Americana Award for his second album'Little Rock' which became the first self released album to reach number one on the Americana music charts. He is considered a main figure in the resurgence of Texas songwriters, writing in the Dylan-influenced tradition of Clark and Townes van Zandt. Hayes' ragged, often autobiographical tunes about "lying around the house" playing guitar, being lonely and drowning his sorrows in alcohol are decidedly authentic, much like the man himself. This show is a rare headlining performance during his support of Buddy Miller's UK tour [February 17th - March 5th].
Main support is from James Walbourne [solo] UK's finest Americana/Country guitar supremo plays with Peter Bruntnell/Pernice Brothers/Son Volt/Bap Kennedy and many more. It's an honour to have him.
Trecreeper is both a type of English bird and a band that's patterned its sound on Uncle Tupelo, SunVolt and REM. Treecreeper is partially the remains of Brighton-based Americana band Hart Crane and partially new members. Will Burns is the chief singer/songwriter and he is joined by his brother Greg Burns, a cousin and a friend.
