The Luminaire presents
LOUIS XIV
+ The Draymin

Doors 7.30
SOLD OUT

With their inventive mélange of raucous riffs and big bawdy beats, San Diego-based Louis XIV are without doubt a particularly exciting band who've already drawn acclaim on both sides of the pond. Musician/producer Jason Hill, guitarist Brian Karscig, and drummer Mark Maigaard had previously worked together in other San Diego rock outfits, but after years in the trenches, they decided to attempt something altogether new.

Lucky for us.

"A horny fusion of glam-rock boogie, Urge Overkill’s egotism and libidinous top-shelf naughtiness." [Uncut]

"An album full of wit and sleazy lyrics." [Independent]

"Insolent, seductive glam rock opportunists from San Diego who mix the overblown riffs of T. Rex with an avenging wave of punk." [Observer Music Monthly]

Main support are The Draymin. Formed in a hut in Fife, Scotland in October 2004, these four lads ken the score. A quality helping of hard hitting indie rock ‘n’ roll, they take inspiration from bands such as The Stone Roses, The Verve and BRMC to name but a few.
