The Luminaire presents
FUTURE OF THE LEFT
+ Infants
+ John et Jehn

Doors 7.30
£6 via WeGotTickets
£7 door

After the break-up of seminal punk outfit Mclusky, singer/guitarist Andy "Falco" Falkous and drummer Jack Egglestone, along with Jarcrew's singer/bassist Kelson Matthias, formed like Voltron to create Future of The Left.

Expect incendiary verbal tirades, destructive drums and violent, jagged guitars twisting around an imaginative, cerebal core.

Main support Infants are "London-based pop terrorists sounding like Melt Banana clawing the eyes out of Brainiac; only they were brought up on insane underground dance rhythms." [Drowned in Sound]

First on are John et Jehn, who sprouted from the fertile soil of Nicolas Conge and Camille Berthomier's love garden, situated somewhere between their hometowns; Poitiers and Angouleme. Almost instantaneously, in July 2005, they became the happy parents of a 5 track EP, 'Lamour ne Nous Dechirera Pas' [Love Will NOT Tear Us Spart). Influenced by Serge Gainsbourg, The Velvet Underground, Gang of Four, Joy Division, Johnny Cash; the music is a shambolic collection of sonic experiments in space, carried by dark humour on pulsing melodies.
