SJM Concerts presents
THIRTEEN SENSES
+ The New York Fund

Doors 7.30
•SOLD OUT•

Thirteen Senses announce an exclusive London residency at The Luminaire. Appearing on October 13, November 13 and December 13. the band will be previewing tracks from their forthcoming album 'Contact' due out January 2007.

Support is from The New York Fund.
Right now the original New York fund is sitting in a jar on top of singer Joe's fridge. Silver and copper coins emptied, at the end of many a drunken evening, from the pockets of friends, family, and anyone else he'd managed to convince to "come back to mine for some more beer and music". Joe thinks there's nearly enough for a couple of tickets to NYC, and each coin is one step closer to the Bowery Ballroom.
A year ago, Cherryfalls left Island Records and lost their drummer to the Nicaraguan national curling team. The three core members of the band spent the next three months drinking their way through the last few pounds of their advance, in the hope that living life in an alcohol induced stupor might hold the key to success in the music industry. During one of these inspiration seeking sessions in a cheap North London bar, they were introduced to new boy Leo, who managed to convince them that maybe getting on with making some beautiful music might be the quicker path to success, rather than being a bunch of fuck-ups.
So the band steadily got to work with a new music philosophy. It's simple, but its brilliant;
"All we want to do is write, play, and perform great music. The kind that made us want to do this job in the first place. The kind that brought us together even though were all so different. As long as it has a nice country tinge to it of course."
They then decided to put this philosophy into practice by hibernating with their guitars, a LOT of alcohol, and wrapping themselves, for inspiration, in music from the likes of The Band, Little Feat, Big Star, Teenage Fanclub & Ryan Adams. They slowly discovered what it meant to be part of what you will hear this evening; The New York Fund, with songs that will melt your heart and an honesty that will make you proud to be part of their crusade.
