Shady Bard are putting the finishing touches to their debut album, 'From The Ground Up', due for release in spring 2007 on Static Caravan Recordings. Described as a miniature indie orchestra, their line-up includes violin, cello and French horn alongside guitars, piano, percussion and samples.

Opening the evening are Oslo-based Maribel, who'll take you on a sonic journey from Slowdives grand shoegaze-universe into Spacemen 3s intense and dark mass of lost souls. Minimalistic punk-rhythms are enveloped by a moaning wall of reverberated guitars. Barely decipherable words form a lingering elegy. Maribel is a meditative and vibrating exploration of alternative music.
