Apartment have supported the likes of The Killers, The Bravery, Jimmy Eat World and, most recently, toured with their friends Boy Kill Boy, as well as headlining their own sold out shows. First single 'Everyone Says I'm Paranoid' cracked the Top 75. Second single 'Patience Is Proving' followed in July last year. Both were on Fierce Panda. Now Apartment have started their own label, Fleet Street Records, and are set to release a split 10" single with The Far Cries. Each band will cover the others song on the b-side. They finally head into the studio again in March to record their long-awaited album.
Dirty Little Faces are Liam, Tommy, Chris & John, four friends (including two cousins, Tom and Chris) who have known each other for about eleven years and have been musical comrades for eighteen months. Choppy guitars, melodic bass lines and huge drums, all held together by an addictive frontman forge a sound with a nod towards The Jam and The Strokes. Interest has been growing steadily and Steve Lamacq recently interviewed the boys on BBC 6 Music as his new favourite band. Dirty Little Faces are trying to write songs you can't help but remember, play gigs you can't help but enjoy, and record music that you can't help but keep playing. They release their debut single on Club Fandango's offshoot Label Fandango in April.
Untitled Musical Project are a new 3-piece hailing from Birmingham with only a smattering of gigs to their name. They're quickly picking up fans thanks to their triumpant live show and fabulous demo. Playlouder recently trumpeted: "If you've been missing Mclusky as much as we have then this'll be right up your alley. In fact, it's a very similar alley, with the same big buzzing bass and razor-wire screamvocals, and a smattering of wit. There's three songs to the demo, 'Lowest Prices In Europe! Guaranteed!' which our Jeres say sounds like our afforementioned Welsh lads mixed with Jesus Lizard and AC/DC, then the acely titled 'Why Isn't Paul McCartney Dead Already', which starts off with a bassline of Nirvana's 'Love Buzz' and goes all potty as the vocals screech away."
