VENUE INFO

AGE INFORMATION
All shows are over 18, except where we state otherwise.

CAPACITY
Floor limit including staff and bands is 300, standing.
Here's how it breaks down:
We reserve 25 for staff, house guests, bands and crew, leaving 275
If you're a promoter or agent, 275 is your operating limit. If you want to sell 275 tickets, fine, but that leaves nothing for guest list. How you balance it is up to you.
We do have some seated areas but they are not in full view of the stage.

EMERGENCY EXITS
There are two emergency exits, clearly marked by illuminated signs above each. All our emergency exits and emergency exit signs are checked every day by our staff.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
There are 8 fire extinguishers located throughout the building. All are regularly inspected.

PYROTECHNICS
The Luminaire does not use, or allow any performer to use, any pyrotechnics of any kind. Even on Guy Fawkes night. Nor do we allow smoke machines to be used. For clarification on this, visit our SAQ page.

TOILETS
The toilets are located in the corridor directly behind the stage. Feel free to bring marker pens and stickers and vandalise them as you see fit, just as long as you leave the fittings intact and the toliets still actually work when you leave. And if we catch you vandalising anywhere other than the toilets, you'll be sorry.

OPENING HOURS
Sunday-Wednesday until 00.00
Thursday until 01.00
Friday & Saturday until 02.00
Please check the details of individual events for door times, but its never earlier than 7.30pm and never later than 8.30pm.

STAGE TIMES
These vary depending on the event, but roughly speaking on a three band bill, this is how it pans out:
Support 1 : between 8.00 and 8.30
Support 2 : between 8.45 and 9.15
Headline: between 9.30 and 10.15

We do what we can to have music over by 11.10 in order that those of you who're catching the Overground train can go ahead and do so, but look, if a headline band decides to play a couple of encores there's not a lot we can do about it. We've no idea how many - if any - of you are actually catching the Overground. So, if catching public transport home is important to you, it's best to call us and ask what time we expect the last band to walk off stage on a particular night. We'll do our best to advise you. 020 7372 7123

DISABLED ACCESS
The Luminaire welcomes everyone and our aim is to make your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, whether you're here to see a band, or play in one. We are a first floor venue and whilst we would like to provide easy access for all, there may be accessibility problems for those with restricted mobility. Entry is via a stairway [with two turns]. The venue itself, however, is on one level, though our toilets have not been adapted to be wheelchair accessible. If you have a disability and want to visit us for a gig, drop us an email well in advance and we'll do everything we can to help.

SECURITY
Where security staff are needed, The Luminaire will provide them. Promoters and hirers cannot bring their own security. Anwyay, our security is awesome.

PHOTOGRAPHERS
We don't mind photographers shooting the bands, but the bands might. You should contact them in advance, or speak to them on the night. We don't do any of that three-songs-and-you're-out-carry-on here, but we do ask that you use common sense. If you're tall and/or carrying a large camera with a huge flash gun, and it's busy, you're going to get in the way of people who've paid to watch the band. Just shoot the first three songs, then step aside.

MAILING LIST

Add your email to our mail list and we'll let you know what's happening around here. We promise not to pass your address to anyone.
